As a Pediatrician with special interest in infectious disease epidemiology and public health, Quique combines his clinical work with biomedical research and worldwide results dissemination of those diseases that most affect the poor and vulnerable.
His contribution has been key in the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation funded development and validation of anti-malarial drugs as well as in Pian eradication in Sub-Saharan Africa. He also pioneers in the use of minimally-invasive techniques in post-mortem analysis for the identification of the cause of death in resource-constrained regions.
It is our privilege, to have him leading the clinical validation studies in Manhiça (Mozambique) and defining user design requirements of our solutions in under-resourced clinical settings.
