His expertise and motivation find each other in the development of measurement techniques for fluid characterization and the monitoring of bioprocesses.

His activities span from teaching in Masters and PhD programs in national and international universities to basic and applied research yielding 58 publications, 51 conference communications, 12 patents and an active participation and leadership in 36 competitive research and industrial projects, which highlights his capabilities to attract both public and private funding to CSIC. In addition, Luis has developed organizational and managerial skills through his role as manager assistant, as principal investigator of 16 projects, and director of 7 thesis.
