Biomedical Engineer with expertise in medical imaging and holding a masters in Business Administration was selected at MIT three-years program to receive translational innovation training.
After gaining experience in academy and several industries in Barcelona and Germany, he realised he was moved by patient needs.
An entrepreneurial spirit led him to found New Born Solutions to tranform technologies that disrupt the medical device industry and revolutionise patient healthcare.
The Neosonics is the first accomplishment of such innovation capacity awarded with the 2015 Best Technology-based Idea by the madri+d Foundation.Javier joined the Catalan soccer team when he was 16 and coached the MIT women’s club soccer team. His other passions are reading Agatha Christie’s mysteries and playing the guitar, but he plays it best when the speakers are turned off!

Javier has experience in the computer (Fujitsu-Siemens), automotive (Kostal), communications and space (Indra), and biomedical imaging industry (High-Technology Institute and CRC Imaging Diagnostics).
He was selected in the Madrid-MIT M+Vision Program, where he had the idea that led to the development of the Neosonics, recruited the team composed of Spanish public (Spanish Research Council, University Hospital La Paz, ISGlobal Barcelona, University Hospital Clínico San Carlos) and private institutions (University Hospital Quirón), and the MIT, and secured resources to start the development of the Neosonics. He was also selected in the I-Corps program through the Venture Mentoring Service at MIT and received a grant to conduct market research analysis, resulting in a partnership with a leading industry provider. NBS keeps growing expanding its network and receiving ample support from the Spanish Meningitis Association.
